Show Your Face: Promo 2010

Face? Show your FACE? Come on, I can think of half a dozen other body parts that a more fun to show than a face. Boobs is the first thing that comes to mind. I’m not just singling out the women to do this either, men can get out their pale hairy man boobs and jiggle them about too. Balls come to mind as well. I know a guy who used to (when drunk) get his balls out and press them on the windows of restaurants filled with people. Now that shit is funny, there’s nothing like looking up from your Wagyu beef to see a pair of squished testicles and a bunch of drunk blokes laughing. That’s comedic gold right there.
Wait, what am I supposed to be writing about again? Oh yeah, Show Your Face, a Greek thrashcore band, and this here demo they’ve released. Thrashcore? As a general rule I steer clear of any genre with “core” in its title. Probably should have done so this time around too, fuck it.
The music, to my ear, sits in a space in between Lamb of God and Mudvayne. You get hardcore vocals, a pretty funky base, tight drumming and heavy grooves on the guitar. The production is of a very high standard, far better than you can expect for a demo. All in all, I’d be pretty fucken impressed if I actually liked this kind of music.
